If you like your spooks more brainy and sensitive, than slick and self-absorbed, this show is definitely worth your time.
This Prime original is a joint effort with Paramount, which is a relationship that Amazon hopes will become a thing. In fact, this offering is on a scale we don’t see often from Amazon, so I personally look forward to future efforts.
Jack Ryan Season 1 is an 8 episode arc that affords the luxury of character development coupled with a backdrop of building suspense — all adding up to a very satisfying origin story as Jack takes part in a tense hunt for a looming enemy.

I certainly hope that more seasons are in the works. If so, they’d better have locked Krasinski in …This opportunity to show his range, coupled with the success of A Quiet Place (both as star and director), is significant proof that he can do it all.
For those of you who scoff and can only see him as Jim Halpert… you’ll be missing out if you don’t look again.
